Churippu Crewneck

This brown crewneck sweater is completely hand knit in plain stockinette holding four strands of yarns: one strand of fine highland wool and three luxurious strands of silk mohair blended yarn. This combination gives the fabric of the sweater a unique, pillowy loft and halo that feels extra warm. A tulip (chūrippu in Japanese) design is crocheted in an electric cobalt blue alpaca yarn at the very end of the making process after the sweater has been washed and blocked. The collar is a double-layered 1x1 rib knit, and the cuffs are a single-layered 1x1 rib knit.
